Humans Rights Watch wants somebody, anybody, to investigate former President George W. Bush and his top officials for war crimes. In a new report [1] out Tuesday, the New York-based group makes the case that the Obama administration is legally obligated to investigate the former president and his top aides over alleged crimes such as the torture, abduction, and other mistreatment of prisoners, theGuardian [2] reports. And if Obama won’t (and he has already indicated that to be the case), Human Rights Watch wants foreign governments to lead the charge. In addition to Bush, the report also names former VP Dick Cheney, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, and ex-CIA director George Tenet, among others.
