No tie for footballer of the year

The news of Ali Karimi's honors as the Asian Footballer of the year was front page news in Iran's print media. But apparently some or all of the papers bowed to the regime's official objection to neck ties as a sign of Western cultural influence and decided to do away with his neck tie!
