Rasool-Allah for the living room
Never in a million years would I have imagined Prophet Mohammad
looking like this. Or does "Rasool-Allah" (Messenger of God) in
this case refer to another messenger of God? Muslim saints
depicted on popular posters in Iran appear very manly.
So it's possible this particular prophet is pre-Islamic. Maybe
Daniel? Or
Jacob? Moses?
The image looks
like a
rip
off from a renaissance
painting, or maybe
even Rudolph
Valentino. We'd have to ask the artist, Khosrow-pour,
where he got his inspiration.
The image is on a round sheet of
tin about 6 inches in diameter and it has a folding stand in
the back with the Qom-Neynava
company logo. One can set it on a coffee table in the living
room or hang it on the wall in the office. I just saw it tonight
at a friend's house. He bought
it in
Tehran, from
the
bazaar,
I
think,
last week.
I
thought....
I MUST show this to you :o)
