Orlando
Poem
By Jamshid Bastani

The Iranian
Brooding boredom brews in the balmy batter of the big blue bay.
Soothing sobs that seldom seek their seats in eyes seared with sorrow,
Sneak their way in but seldom stay.
Green grows over groves of grass,
Eyes graze on graves,
Gardens gruel with grief, turning gray.
Pensive poets paint pale portraits of prowling panther's proving power,
Panting as they stalk their prey.
Toxic toothing toddler's temper tantrum
Tangos to terminal tempos;
Tangled throat's tight tourniquet!
Oozing odors ongoing orgy,
Old as the ocean's ovulation;
On goes the Orlando day.
