The Iranian

Mohammad Reza Sharifi was born in 1970 in Isfahan. Historical buildings and traditional spaces of Isfahan motived him to work on miniature. In art school he became interested in the works of Reza Abassy and gradually, the great artist, Mahmoud Farshchian. After graduating with honors from art school, he was accepted into the university to study art and became familiar with classic methods and experiences. Later he spent time with masters, including Farshchian.

Sharifi's work will be displayed at the Hourian Fine Art Galleries in San Francisco (1843 Union Street) on 14-31 December, 2001.
