FarsiFilms.com is your Iranian online Blockbuster

The Iranian
A couple of months ago I was paying my daily
visit to my favorite web site Iranian.com and I noticed a link
to a web site called FarsiFilms. Being a huge fan of Iranian cinema
I clicked on the link and started to look through the site. After
about 15 minutes I was convinced that this was one of the best
sites I had visited to date.
You
can think
of FarsiFilms as an on line Blockbuster, except that most of the
movies that are offered for rent by FarsiFilms cannot be found
on any Blockbuster or Hollywood Videos store.
During the site's
trial run, registered members who had access to broadband Internet
connections could download two movies and watch them on their computers.
After a few months of collecting feedback from viewers and building
a sizable inventory FarsiFilms was up and ready to offer a large
number of rental DVDs by mail to
consumers in the U.S. and Canada.
According to the website, FarsiFilms's mission
is "to provide a subscriber based Video on Demand service that
distributes digital programs worldwide that are affordable, reliable,
convenient,
secure and accessible to communities who are interested in and
want to experience Persian culture."
At this time FarsiFilms offers movies in many different
categories including Action & Adventure, Children & Family, Comedy,
Documentary, Drama, Musical, Romance, and Sports. In addition,
the site offers many new and old TV series as well as Iranian films
that are made outside of Iran.
Because FarsiFilms is an Internet based company,
many mainstream Americans and Canadians can have access to many
movies not found at Blockbuster or other movie rental stores. This
will give others the opportunity to experience and become familiar
with our culture through art and entertainment. When the download
option becomes available, this opportunity will be available to
anyone in the world who has access to the Internet. I have been a member of FarsiFilms for some time now and am constantly
amazed by the level of service that the staff provides. I have
had no problems or concerns regarding payments and have been
surprised by the fast and reliable shipping and the excellent
qualities of
the movies I have rented.
FarsiFilms provides a unique and
much needed service to all Iranians and non-Iranians who
are interested
in the Iranian Cinema. Not all Iranians live in the big cities
on the East or West Coast and not all of us have the opportunity
to go to Iranian film festivals in New York City or LA. This
is by far the cheapest, fastest, and most convenient way
to experience the joy of watching the excellent movies that are
coming out
of
Iran.
