First solo flight in a glider
>>> Watch Here is a clip that is approximately 30 years old taken at the Zarghan Imperial Airport, between Shiraz and Persepolis. I was a teen-age member of the Aviation Club and this clip is this clip is my first solo flight in a glider. It was customary to pour cold water on the student's head after the first solo flight. I was in the area about 3 years ago and was very surprised to see that the same gliders (Blanik L-13 made in former communist Czechoslovakia) were still flying.
