Charcoal draws my interest to its purity and natural form. In a
way, it's like creating from the earth. However, I tend to stay
away from pure realism and embrace more abstract forms in my
creations. This is partly due to my appreciation of modern art
and the goals of the modern artist.
The purpose of art is to induce a reaction from its audience whether
it is positive or negative. Although artistic expression harbors
many goals, the most important is "creating to provoke!"
