Meymand
Pre-historic village

October 5, 2001
The Iranian

Thousands of years before Persepolis, there was Meymand.

A village carved out of the mountains in Iran's Kerman Province, Meymand is believed to be 12,000 years old. These photographs (27 in all) are truly amazing. The average time spent on viewing images on the Internet is not more than a second or two. I'm sure you'll be staring at them for some time. This is where we come from.

You can find more photos at Meymand.com.
