Photo essay: Prayer seals

The Iranian

I was at Ali and Yekameh's house in the San Francisco East Bay Saturday night listening to friends playing delightful Persian classical music (and a few fun koocheh baazaari ones in between). I was standing next to the dinner table eyeing the chocolate moose cake and other goodies.

I turned around and saw more than two dozen mohr prayer seals lined on a shelf. And I thought, "Those would make a great featrure." Yekameh was caught in roodarvaasee and allowed me to take them home to scan. "Some of them belong to my grand parents. You better bring them back undamaged." Of course, of course, I said :-)

I was under the influence at the time, but I think it's still a neat idea to put them online.
