Reed & Ja-veed Golestan knew my grandfather Abdol-Reza Javid in Shiraz. I asked him if he remembered anything about him? He recalled something funny he had heard from my grandfather himself, about greeting his boss, Mr. Reed, on the phone.
Three Dogs, interrupted Golestan began telling a joke about three guard dogs. Then my friend Ali arrived with his car and I forgot to turn the camera off. In the car I talked about Radio Zamaneh and how pleased I was with my stipend as a panalist. Then as Golestan continued to tell his joke, I realized the camera had been rolling ... From Creme de Menthe to Dizi to Iranshahr Golestan described faloodeh with a French mint liquor called Creme de Menthe and Ali switched the subject to Dizi -- a popular restaurant off Iranshahr Ave in Tehran which only sells... dizi meat stew.
