Veghahat

In response to Fariba Amini's letter, "Saving Persepolis": After the 1979 revolution, there were some talks about the destruction of all pre-Islamic monuments (and traditions). But some of the wiser mollahs like Talleghani stopped this nonsense.

At the top of the list was, of course, Persepolis. But the main move against Persepolis was organised by Dastgheib (Imam Jomeh of Shiraz) and not by Khalkhali, as Ms Amini claims! Khalkhali was in Tehran and was too busy executing people.

The heroic act that she is trying to attribute to her father never took place. The National Front members of Prime Minister Bazargan's cabinet were too useless to do anything, as it became quite apparent later on. Bazargan and his traitor associates in the National Front handed our country on a plate to the mollas, such as the followers of Navab Safavi and the likes of Khalkali.

And now Fariba Amini expects us to give a medal to her father for some bogus heroic act which never took place. If her father was really worried about Persepolis he would have never sided with the likes of Khalkhali in the first place.

The naives and traitors in the National Front though that the mollas would step aside and let them run the country with all the nice and cushy jobs which goes with it, like the governorship of Fars!

These traitors should apologise to the Iranian people, and not to expect praise. But as a wise man once said, "Cheezee keh haddi nadaarad veghaahat ast, veghaahat". Yes "veghaahat" Fariba khanoom!
