* I do NOT support whatever

Dear Mr. Mirfendereski, [The last stand of all things Persian]

Hereby wanted to thank you for your NICE article about the Persian Gulf.

Although I agree with what you have written in that article, I do not find it appropriate to attributes adjectives as misguised, ... to the PGTF. I even do not find it appropriate to publish these things in the name of the actions of these groups. Becuase it may not only disgrace even the good deeds of these people but also degrades the values of your article down to an oriented one.

I am one of PGTF members; but this does not mean that I DO support whatever its board believes to be the truth. But for some considerations, among which is to help defend my Persian heritage [but not by any kind of ways], I cooperate with them. And really believe that they are working honestly, although PGTF may do such uncosidered things like what was about the museum or the same cases.

Sorry for my being frank. but know that not all PGTF members are the same and you cannot find any other such groups that all their members think the same. However they work together, get happy together, cry together, and get offended together.

Regards,

Ali Moslehi

* We don't want to act like: "you are either w/ us or against us!"

Bravo to Jamshid! [Erasing our identity]

I am so glad to see patriotic people like you in this part of the world! I deeply respect your thoughts and efforts in maintaining the Persian values and heritage! Your writing is outstanding! I cannot add any more to what you wrote!

I disagree w/ boycotting any countrymen just because they are misguided. As much as I feel betrayed, but as a Persian I forgive their short comings! We don't want to act like: "you are either w/ us or against us!" (that's facts of life)! Tolerate the dissension, but fight for what you believe in and let people who believe in you follow you!

Please keep the flame burning in your soul! My soul, your soul and almost all the Iranians souls will always be in Iran! If one can betray his heritage only after couple of decades living outside his place of heritage he can betray his new found home in a heart beat!

Look at the jews the most successful people in the world, they never forget their heritage! (they even are sending the Americans to protect their country of 53 years)! Our heritage is where our real soul is and we must not betray it! To betray it, is to betray ourselves! (You know there are a lot of traders!)

Thank you and God bless Iran, Persian gulf and America!

PS: Let me know if I can be of any assistance!

* You sell anybody for a price

Recently an article appeared in your page [Three blind men] that it had three names in its heading "Saddam, Ben Laden, and Khomeiny", I did not read the article, but just a glance at its head line told the whole story.

It is obvious from your motto that "nothing is sacred".

To yellow, coward, traitors that statement makes sense, "we sell anybody for a price". I am sure your wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters are at some corner prostituting themselves just as you are (after all nothing is sacred).

I will have no problem with your treachery if only you drop the name "iranian from your site. Call yourself "MKO" or "NCR" any shit that resembles you mother fuckers.

Correction "Saddam, Ben Ladden, MKO, Editors of this mother whore fucking site.

* Send it to Sundance?

Mr. Safizadeh, [Shahsavan]

I am really impressed by the pictures of your documentary, truly fascinationg. Have you thought of releasing this film in a future festival like Sundance? This picture particularily looks like a painting.

It is very odd that these tribes somehow ressmble American Indians ore at least their lifestyle resembles to theirs.

Their is a Biblical dimension I feel to this migration that seems to continue over and over generation after generation. Do think of getting this film released, it surely will have an audience.

* Why the worst one?

Please change the first photo on Homeyra's page. She has so many nice pictures on your site and you use her worst picture as her main one?

I hope you have not done this purposely, so please make the change. She is such a pretty lady, so why do use her worst photo when you have so many other ones????

Thanks,

* Nothing to do with Bush & Saddam

I would just like to comment on the song that is linked on this page, called "Baba Feen": because it states something incorrectly. I, myself am Iranian... and am a speaker of both Farsi and Arabic.

That page describes the song as, "Bush & Saddam: In Arabic" and "U.S.-Iraq conflict". But the entire song has nothing to do with the conflict at all -- therefore, I don't see why it is labeled so.

In fact, the music video for the song is entirely made up with kids. If you're interested enough to see what I'm talking about, the music video for this song can be found here: and it clearly shows that it has nothing to do with the conflict

I just thought that your site might like to be informed of this because I just don't think it's right to label such a fun song with the conflict.

Thank you.

* Simin Behbahani poem?

I have four of Simin Behbahani's books but none them has a poem I am looking for .

The poem ends with these words:

goftam agar az paaye khod zanjire eshghat vaa konam?
goftam zetou deevanetar danee keh peydaa mikonam

If anyone out there has this poem please e-mail me a copy or please write the name of the book which this poem is in it so I can buy it. I would really appreciate it. I have searched the net and it is not there either. She does not have an e-mail address.

These two lines were written by her in my book which she autographed yesterday and I assumed I would find the full poem it in one my books. One should never assume! Please help.

* A great loss: Maral Beheshti

As you may know we have lost a dear and decent compatriot whom we had come to know through the pages of your website. Maral Beheshti passed away, at a young age, due to a cancerous condition in the early days of January.

For all those who knew her through her writings, it was a great loss, let alone those who were close to her. We were informed by Rashid Sardar of her passing shortly after the recent update of the Letters and therefore it was too late for that edition.

But we have prepared a note of remembrance on that I am forwarding on behalf of the Forum to which we all subscribed. I would be grateful if you could publish this in the next update of Letters. No email contact is intended and the collective signature should suffice.

May I use this opportunity and thank you for providing us this opportunity to meet such dear people such as Maral.

Parviz

Here is the text of our message:

It was with immense disbelief and sadness that we learned of Maral's passing last month. She was a passionate patriot and a tireless campaigner for freedom in her homeland, Iran. She was also a regular Letters writers and made many memorable contributions in support of the cause in which she believed. We miss you dearly Maral and extend our profound feelings of sympathy to your loved ones.

* Not an advisor to Pahlavi

The article posted on your website by Dr. Iraj Pakravan "Pahlavi pulling a Rajavi?" contains two factual mistake which I would like to bring to your attention:

1. I am not an advisor to Mr. Reza Pahlavi.
2. I have never advocated US military action against Iran.

I thank you for considering this note and would appreciate if you could correct these mistakes.

* Hates Israelis more than the mullahs

I read Mr. Pakravan's article and mostly agree with his assessment that the opposition to the IRI is not united and is incompetent [Pahlavi pulling a Rajavi?].

The ironic thing in all this is that Pakravan's own thinking reveals the reasons why. It also reveals why the mullahs have survived so far. Instead of concentrating on the matter at hand, i.e., oppostion to the mullahs and their corrupt regime, he is worried about a possible future involvement of Israel in Iranian and Middle Eastern affairs.

He is engulfed by some unproven conspiracy theory that might someday happen, and not by the clear and present criminal activity committed by the folks who are ruling Iran. This tells me that Mr. Pakravan hates the Israelis more than the mullahs who are actually busy destroying his country.

I have to give credit to Pahlavi. At least he is not confused about who the real enemy is.

* Support any movement to get rid of IRI

I am writing this e-mail to answer the article "Pahlavi pulling a Rajavi?". Allowing Iran to be subjugated by a foreign power. You have all kind answers for Iranian opositions that they are trying to free Iran from these MULLAS.... I would like to ask you what did you do to free IRAN from these people or what alternative do you have for all Iranians who are struggling in IRAN?

Let me tell what buddy, time is running out. It is been almost 25 years of AKHONDS. Don't you think that's enough? We need to support any movement at present time to get rid of these people. After they leave the country then we can sit down with freedom of speech, press, thought, religion and so on and pick your government or politicians.

But first thing first. USA, ISRAEL, RUSSA, GERMANY or ENGLAND.....We don't care which. Those are free nations and they believe in freedom. If they can help IRAN get a new government, I don't see why not. Voting for all these politicians in Iran is not getting us any where.

Let's learn from the supper powers.

* Revealed: Pahlavi true scoundrel

WOW! What a bombshell!! Like woodward and bernstein breaking the watergate story for the first time [Pahlavi pulling a Rajavi?], iraj pahlavan has revealed a major breaking news story here that i doubt few if any iranian are aware of.

i certainly have NEVER heard of a connection between pahlavi and AIPAC and never knew of his connection to these fascist iran-hating pro-israel groups. and i'm one who reads news of iran on a daily basis.

THANK YOU iraj pahlavan for revealing this shocking news. you have revealed reza pahlavi for the true scoundrel and sell-out that he is. my god, it's hit me like a brick in the head, because up till now i've been toying with supporting him.

I HOPE REZA PAHLAVI BURNS IN HELL LIKE RAJAVI.
