* Imperial attempt to dominate

Good argument Nima [Vital to our future],

Often some of us Iranians confuse the support for our country with support for the government that is in power. Whatever one thinks of the current Iranian political structure (which I think it leaves much to be desired) and its functionaries, it is imperative to consider the reality of heavy industry development in Iran and in certain areas such as the nuclear field which Iran has made substantial progress as Iranian achievements and not government achievement.

Iran is developing infrastructures toward harnessing nuclear, solar and wind sources of energy which as you point out are vital for the future of Iran.

The arrogance of "regime change" strategy and the subsequent tension between Iran on the one hand and the Bush/ Sharon alliance on the other must not be viewed as hopeful signs. Instead, it must be viewed as an imperial attempt to dominate the developing world in general and geopolitically significant areas such as the Persian Gulf in particular for the sole purpose of imposing an unbridled capitalist system which would make the current system in Iran look divine.

In a region bullied by the Israelis and the Americans with variety of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons at their disposals, Iran so far has remained the only obstacle to total domination.

If there is going to be any effective change, grass-roots movement with a sense of direction and a vision of tomorrow is the only promising method and not by the axis of Wall Street, Pennsylvania Ave. and the Pentagon..
