* Irresponsible for Iran not to defend itself
I am not a political scientist or a supporter of the current regime in Iran and
I understand that this is only your opinion, but like to point out a number
of
flaws in it. [Vital
to our future]
1- There have been a number of debates within the Iranian community regarding
this subject with various different groups for and against the nuclear technology
in Iran.
2- The charges that Iran is after nuclear power is an unproven charge with no
half ass proof that supports the charge. We all heard so much about the WMD in
Iraq and the fact that the US administration “knew” where they were
and so on, yet NOTHING has been found, and more than 11000 civilians have lost
their lives for that pursuit. Had the inspectors were given adequate time, we
all would have known the truth and many thousand lives would have been saved.
So, lets give the inspection a chance.
3- The terrorist charges you mentioned in your article are all
the west rhetoric used against any community/group or country that simply
does not support the West’s position. If we judge the conduct of
each state with the same guide lines, Israel will be the biggest sponsor
of state terrorism, they are a nuclear power, and occupying another country.
4- US is a nuclear power, has previously used it against the civilians twice
(which by definition makes a terrorist act) and has repeatedly threatened to
use it in any conflict that they have had. Their famous line is that they never
take any of their options/means off the table and in Iraq war they specifically
used that threat in response to if attached with chemical weapon.
Having said all of these, I don’t believe another nuclear power is what
we need in this world, we all need to work to take way this capability from
all nations, reinforce the line that no nation/group ever using it or threat
of using it.
The Iranian community needs to work to reshape the political situation in Iran
for a more democratic regime and not relay on the outside forces to come and
fix the situation for us. The outside forces are only after their own agenda
and any changes by them will only benefit them. I don’t think,
we should replace those current (Arab) foreigners that are for crowd control
with American and British soldiers, right? We see what is happening in Iraq.
So long there is an array of countries lined up against Iran with nuclear bombs,
after all currently Iran is sharing the longest border with US, it would be
irresponsible for Iran not to pursue this technology to defend itself.
