* Putting "arrogance" in perspective

In reply to "Thank you God",

I have no doubt that reading your essay on being grateful for what we have in our lives, strikes a deep emotional cord within everyone who may have according to you, been busy asking for too many personal favors in a very "arrogant" manner. It even may send some on a path of atonement and have them repent for all the sins they have committed so far (the same impact that the passion of christ movie had on some people).

I wholeheartedly agree with the essence and gist of your piece in cherishing what has been given to us in life and to be content with what we have been given, but think for one second and imagine for a brief moment who has been behind all the mayham in sudan, or any other desolate and impoverished spot on this planet?

Those bills and deadlines and all the worries and concerns that we have about our relationships are the inseparable part of our existence in the modern world that we live in today and form the basis of our perseverance and a justification for our hard work, because it fosters and promotes a competitive spirit in us and gives our lives a meaning and what makes us into the emotinal human beings that we are.

i see those horrible images that you see on tv about those poor souls and their dillemas as well, it is gut-wrenching, it is incredibly sad and makes my heart cry but would it be logical and sensical to call myself arrogant for praying to god for things to go a little better that usual for me? would it be selfish of me to ask for a little guidance in my life?

despite the fact that i try so hard to stay humble and lay my head low and no be a complainer? do not get me wrong, i do appreciate the situation i am in right now and i am not just saying it, rather i show it with my actions and deeds to those who are around me, but i certainly don't think i should bear the guilt brunt for a vicious and corrupt government who is treating its citizens like dirt and everyone else who is cooperating with them.
