What is she?

In response to Azam Nemati's "Get over your anger":

Dear Mr. Javid,

Salaam. I usually do not write you, but this time was simply too much for me. Please include my comments in you Letters Section so everyone knows where I stand.

As the mother of two wonderfully well adjusted, bilingual and successful half-Persian children, I could not sit by while Azam Nemati attacked this young boy in such a cruel and heartless manner. She calls herself a daughter of Abadan, but I can truely say that in all my years of growing up in Iran or living abroad for the past twenty-eight years, I have never met anyone that is so clearly insane as her.

Not only does she set herself up as the arbitor of who is and who is not a real "Iranian", she does so with English that betrays her very low proficiency in both reading and writing skills. I read the young man's article and he was sincere and articulate. He had a valid complaint against her aggressive and hateful beliefs. Then, she attempted to reply, but her ability to write coherently and cohesively in the English language was utterly inept. She is truely without any doubt a poorly educated and defensive illiterate.

Furthermore as a full blooded Iranian I feel complete and absolute shame that there are Iranians like her out in the world representing our people. Is it any wonder that so many think that we are terrorists? She is beyond excusing or ignoring. I firmly believe that she might well fit in comfortably with the local KKK chapter in her area.

As for her terribly unkind rebuke to the boy in telling him that he is no Iranian. Here is what I think. In my estimation, this boy of half-Persian blood is more Iranian as a child than Azam Nemati can ever hope to be in her entire lifetime. He is thoughtful, reflective, and sincere. What is she? She is an out-of-control middle aged lunitic that beleives that she is the last, best hope for the Iranian nation and the Iranian people. Her insanity deludes her on both accounts. She is nothing more than a self-centered, egotistical piece of trash. It would be an insult to all the low class people of the world to include her within their ranks. She is beneath even them.

My children are no different from young Raheem, and I love them dearly. While I would prefer to call these wonderfully and special Iranians, children of mixed cultural heritage, Raheem calls them halfbreeds, but that is merely symantax.

Certainly, no one of fullblood can ever walk in the shoes of our half blooded brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. We do not know, experience or live with the kind of ethnic discrimination that they must endure from both sides. I feel total shame that someone who claims to be a daughter of Abadan would be such a complete racist. She sounds like Hitler incarnate to me. It truely is a sad, sad day for all Abadanis and all Iranians everywhere to finally learn that people like her are giving us all a black name.

If Azam Nemati or anyone else for that matter ever wishes to deny my children who came out of my tired old Iranian body the right to be just as Iranian as me, simply give me a call or write me and email. You will only do it over my cold dead body because I will fight to the death to protect my two young Iranians of half blood!!!

Khoda Hafez,

Soori Sarrafi
