Call for Entries

Tekaan, meaning movement, is an organization of individuals who are committed to forwarding the Iranian identity through creative and educational events.

Our next event called Power and Grace: Today’s Iranian Woman will showcase the work of ten Iranian women artists.  It will take place on October 20, 2006 at the Cultural Center of the New College of California.  This is an open call to Iranian women artists in all media. 

This is a juried exhibition and there are no submission fees.  The deadline for submissions is October 5, 2006.

Artists should send images of their proposed work through e-mail or post them in a CD-ROM, photographic or DVD format.  If you would like your CD or DVD to be returned, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope with your submission form.  Selected artists are responsible for safely packaging and shipping their work.  Submission forms can be found at www.tekaan.org.
