 Media Yesterday's children, today's parents, have lost their storyteller. Khanom Atefi, her voice known to millions of children who listened to her reading stories on Radio Iran, passed awayon September 20, 2002. I wish I had more pictures of her. I only have this casette cover of one of her stories. She used to call herself "ghesseh-gooyeh shomaa" (Your Storyteller). I talked to her about 10 years ago when she was a newscaster on Voice of America's Persian service. "I am old. I should be retired, these are my retirement days. But I'm still working," she said.
