Academic treasure
* Yarshater: Ehsan Yarshater's contributions to scholarship in the field of Iranian studies go far beyond his monumental Encyclpaedia Iranica. He has written many articles and books on Iran, and, has brought us academic treasures on everything from metalwork and architecture to society and political thought in ancient to modern Iran through institutions such as Mazda Publishers. He is a scholar and a hero and should be recognized as such.

Great job
* Zirakzadeh Science Foundation: All the members work for free in order to build science centers all around Iran and given that the government does not give them a peny, they have made huge progress and done a great job. Please support them with all you can.

First ever...
* Professor Kamran Vafa of Harvard University is a very well-known physicist and is the first Iranian ever to give an one-hour talk at the 1998 Berlin International Congress Of Mathematics as an invites lecturer. International Congress of Mathematics is the biggest even in mathematical sciences. It is held every four years, and there are only about 10 main lectures each time.
