Ebrahimbay Salami, member of Iran's parliament, and editor of Hambastegi (Solidarity) reads the last issue after Iran's hardline judiciary ordered the closure of Iran's popular reformist daily August 8, 2001. A journalist at the newspaper told Reuters that Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi was unhappy with a front page interview with a reformist MP which criticized the judicial apparatus.
