TEHRAN, Aug 24 (AFP) - Iran won the battle of Asia's World Cup heavyweights here Friday when they beat Saudi Arabia 2-0 in their Group A clash. The victory, witnessed by 100,000 passionate fans inside the Azadi Stadium, gave Iran a flying start to their campaign, but also put Saudi coach Slobodan Santrac under intense pressure to hang onto his job after his team's opening draw with Bahrain last week.
