Pashkavi near the border with Afghanistan June 21, 2001 in the Iran's Korrasan
province. The Islamic republic has intensified a campaign against drugs,
which enter Iran from Afghanistan and Pakistan on their way to Western countries.
It has stationed thousands of troops along its border with Afghanistan,
and armed villagers to fight traffickers.
