We won! Not quite... I came in at 12,749 in the 7.5-mile Bay to Breakers
run in San Francisco on May 19th, 2001. My time was one hour, 41 minutes
and nine seconds (minus 27 minutes which was the wait time before the crowd
in front had cleared and we crossed the start line). Not bad for not having
ran for the past two years! But I was sore as can be the next day. Some
80,000 participate in the annual run accross San Francisco.
