Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, addressses thousands gathered at Imam Square in the city of Isfahan, some 414 kilometers (257 miles) south of Tehran, Iran, Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001. Khamenei, rejected growing calls by reformist lawmakers for a dialogue with the United States on the future of Afghanistan and said talks with Washington was against Iran's national interests.
