I am sending you 3 photos this time from Casablanca, Morocco.
Photos (1) & (2) are
from the new Medina in Casablanca. The old medina is more authentic.
Walking through the sooqs (bazars)
feels
like you stepped back in time 300-400 years, but the neighborhood
was a little rough and I decided not to take the camera out of
my backpack. I know, I know... old age is catching up with me,
but I was without a guide and alone. The 3rd photo above is from
the Mosque Hassan II (Hassan Al-Thani, for those of you interested
in Arabic), supposedly the 2nd largest religious monument in the
Islamic world, after Mecca. The best parts were areas inside the
mosque I was not allowed to photograph.
I have already left Casablanca and I am more impressed by other
cities in Morocco.
More photos later...
