Iran's ambassador to Cuba, Ahmad Edrisian, said at a news conference in Havana on November 19, 2003, that the United States should stop television broadcasts to his country by U.S.-based exile groups that promote 'disorder and rebellion' in Iran. Washington complained to Cuba in July that U.S. Farsi-language satellite broadcasts to Iran were being jammed from an Iranian diplomatic facility in or near Havana. The jamming ceased.
