Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
President George W. Bush's fixation on Iraq
has made the United States less safe and allowed
North Korea and Iran to pursue efforts to develop
nuclear weapons, Kerry said in an interview [News here].
"If we secure all bomb-making materials, ensure that no new
materials are produced for nuclear weapons, and end nuclear weapons
programs in hostile states like North Korea and Iran, we will dramatically
reduce the possibility of nuclear terrorism," he said. (AFP/Getty Images/File/Brendan Smialowski)
