This is perhaps a picture of the day, from the German magazine,
Der Spiegel.
The caption reads: With slogans like "death to
the three regimes" hundreds
of Iranian students protest in front of German, French and British
embassies in Tehran. They demonstrate against the negotiations
of the three European countries with Iran over the abandonment
of the atomic programs. The students, mainly members of the Islamic
student organizations, call for the acceptance of the use of atomic technology
for peaceful purposes. In the German embassy, however, they wouldn't
have many listeners - one only works until 2 P.M. "Mit Slogans wie "Tod den drei Regimes" protestieren
hunderte iranische Studenten vor der deutschen, französischen
und britischen Botschaft in Teheran. Sie demonstrieren gegen die
Verhandlungen
der drei europäischen Länder mit Iran über die Aufgabe
des Atomprogramms. Die Studenten, hauptsächlich Mitglieder
islamistischer Studentenvereinigungen, rufen dazu auf, Irans friedliche
Nutzung von Atomtechnologie anzuerkennen. An der deutschen Botschaft
haben sie jedoch nicht viele Zuhörer - im August wird dort
