GLENDALE, Calif., Feb. 17, 2005 - Wells Fargo today announced the appointment of veteran banker Karineh Naaman, a graduate of the University of Tehran, as store manager of the company's Glendale Main Branch located on North Brand Avenue.

"Karineh has demonstrated a keen ability to develop top performing bankers, improve productivity and boost sales in the two stores she's managed throughout the last 10 years," said Vince Liuzzi, San Fernando Valley Bank regional president, who oversees more than 30 branches in his region. "We're confident that she'll bring the same level of energy and enthusiasm to the Glendale Main branch and deliver comparable results."

Naaman will manage a staff of 50 banking professionals at the Glendale Main branch who're responsible for addressing the financial needs of their customers and providing them with a full range of financial products and services, including personal and business banking, loans and lines of credit, and financial investing and insurance services. 

" This is a great career opportunity for me personally because it allows me to bring my 17 years of experience to the Glendale Main branch, which is very important to Wells Fargo's business in the Foothills area," Naaman. "I'm truly looking forward to this professional challenge."

For the last five years, Naaman managed Wells Fargo's Burbank Main branch on San Fernando Road, which today ranks in the top 10 percent for sales and productivity out of 225 stores in the greater Los Angeles area. Prior to that, Naaman managed the company's Montrose branch for five years beginning in 1995. She's also served as assistant manager of the Toluca Lake store, as well as a service supervisor, service specialist and teller at other Wells Fargo branches.

She holds a bachelors degree in French Literature from the University of Tehran in Iran. In addition, Naaman is currently enrolled in the graduate training program at Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, WA.

Naaman, who lives in La Crescenta, is married and has two children.
