On October 21, 2004 Mr. Peter Khan Zendran filed a Civil Suit in United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island against the Providence Police Department as a Pro Se Litigant.  This was brought about by harassment Mr. Zendran has recieved from the Providence Police over the past few years, including an arrest on trumped up charges in February 2003 and a false arrest in May 2004, in both situations where his rights were grossly violated... This case is unique in many respects.  Mr. Zendran is a half-Asian, reformist Zoroastrian Author and Activist who identifies with his Asian heritage.  This is also the first time in American Judicial history that a Zoroastrian has ever sued a Police Department for not letting him pray while in jail  >>> See
