My son, Kurosh, created the attached image using
his photo of his cousin Sepideh's newborn son, Cyrus.
Kurosh writes:
Spring is almost here!
Attached is my "ha'ft-seen" - my table decorated with
7 S's. from left to right:
1. Serkeh or vinegar, represents age and patience.
2. Seer which is garlic, represents medicine.
3. Seeb means apple and represents health and beauty.
4. Sekkeh, coins, represents prosperity and wealth.
5. Sabzeh or sprouts, usually wheat or lentil representing rebirth.
6. Sonbol, hyacinth, is a symbol of nature, fragrance and the coming
of Spring.
And in the background is:
7. Cyrus, my new nephew, is happiness and hope.
Aid Mobarak!
