An Iranian playwright's story of life behind the
razor wire is part of a new theatre work, writes Jill Stark. Shahin
Shafaei doesn't know how to be quiet. His government in Iran tried
to silence him, our government would probably rather
he piped down. But he's risked his life for freedom of speech;
to acquiesce now would mean it's all been for nothing. His story
is not an easy one to hear. It's a stark account of life in an
Australian detention centre, a story that puts a human face
