Tohfeye Natanz

Moji Agha writes: "Engaar
tohfeye Natanz aavordeh!" (As if s/he has brought -- or is -- a gift from Natanz!).
This is a popular Persian expression when a person is criticized for being too prideful.
While people often use this expression, they don't know its origins. What is the
actual "Tohfeye Natanz" which led to this popular expression? Golaabi =
pear.
