Tokhmi

The Persian equivament of something that "sucks" would be "tokhmi". These days it is generally perceived as a derogatory term (tokhm=testicle). But originally, "tokhmi" was used to describe eggplants with large seeds which aren't suitable for cooking. Cucumbers with large seeds are also considered undesirable, and therefore "tokhmi".
