Gol-e
kalam
Gol-e Kalam is not based on the English "cauliflower." However,
there are similarities that suggest they derive from a common source.
Cauli in cauliflower is derived from the word cole, for cabbage.
Kalam means cabbage as well. Flower is Gol. Both Cauliflower and
Gol-e Kalam are descriptions of the vegetable using a literal translation
and, therefore, it is likely they have derived from the same source.
