Augusto Banisadr

The mass imprisonment and executions started on June 21 of 1981, one day after Banisadr was officially removed from his post. He had been in hiding (with Rajavi) for the previous 4 days. "Abolhassan Pinochet, Iran Chile Nemishe" was the slogan of Hezbollahis who were convinced Banisadr was trying to build on his "farmandeye kolle ghova" status granted upon him by his "father" Khomeini to consolidate all power and stage a mini coup.
