Khaaliband
Today a "khaaliband" is known as someone who makes false/empty claims. What is the social origin of the word? Urban legend has it that the police force under Reza Shah ran out of bullets for a period of time and officers were called "Khaaliband" (empty carrier) because they could only shoot blanks.
