Chewing gum
What is the difference between "aadaams" and "saghghez"? Saghghez is a thorn, growing mostly in mountains. The base of each thorn if chewed long enough, results in a clump of gummy material that is not digestible, but will keep its consistency. A man, names Adams, marketed the product with added flavors as a pastime for ladies! (Keep them from talking too much?!) And the brand name stuck! In Iran, you can still find Saghghez among the villagers, just beware that someone has chewed them before you!
