Film directors Bahram Bayzaie and Nasser Taghvaie are angry at a decision by the Cannes film festival to cut their contribution to "Tales of Kish" - a collection of films about the Iranian island in the Persian Gulf. The festival ended this weekend and the film did not win any awards:

* Iranica auction yields $1.4 million

Washington, DC, May 7, 1999, (Iran Times) - London, A collection of Persian art and books collected over a third of a century by Professor Ehsan Yarshater was auctioned off at Christie's in London last month and brought in almost $1.4 million.
