VIENNA, Sept 1 (Reuters)(DS) - Austria earned their first win in 2000
by thrashing Iran 5-1 in an emotional international friendly on Friday
in wich Austria's veteran striker Toni Polster made his farewell. Goals
by Andreas Herzog, Tomislav Kocijan, Christian Mayrleb (two) and Dietmar
Kuehbauer served as a morale-booster for Austria's World Cup qualifying

Players announced for Austria friendly
TEHRAN, August 26 (Iran Sports Press) -- The Head coach of the Iranian
National Team, Jalal Talebi, announced the names of 20 players that will
take part in the upcoming friendly match against Austria in Vienna. Of
the 20 players, 6 are based in Europe and will join the team in Vienna.
Tomorrow the 14 players based in Iran will begin practices for the friendly
match against Austria on September 1st >>>

Iranian U19 defeat China
TEHRAN, August 27 (Iran Sports Press) -- The Iranian Under19 National
Team defeat China 3-2 on Sunday at Shahid Shiroudi Stadium in a friendly
match. China opened the scoring in minute 2 of the match after the Iranian
defense broke open. Iran would equalize in minute 51 of the match. Iran's
lead would increase in minutes 62 and 76. China's final goal was scored
in final minutes of the game.

passed the first round of the German Cup. By winning 3:0 in Aue (Erzgebirge,
