* Berkeley play based on Hedayat's story
BEHIND GLASS WINDOWS is a play written and directed by Torange Yeghiazarian
based on a short story by Iranian writer, Saadegh Hedaayat, which will
be staged in Berkeley, California, from October 17th through November 8,
1998.
Every body thought that the strangest thing Behrooz had ever done was
to fall in love with a mannequin. But that was only the beginning_ BEHIND

SEYED ALAVI: CANTICLES OF ECSTASY
Contemporary artist Seyed Alavi seeks to capture the ecstatic experiences
of poets and mystics from varied cultures and spiritual backgrounds. For
this exhibition, he has created installations using common, everyday materials
with which he hopes "to inspire thinking and contemplation."

* Last chance: "Seven Valleys" in Berkeley
In search for truth a man begins a musical journey through seven stages
of being: Search, Love, Knowledge, Oneness, Contentment, Wonderment, and
Absolute Nothingness. During this journey he makes connections with his
consciousness and his spirituality, and with their help he reaches the
final stage of truth: Absolute Nothingness...or the death of the shell
(the body).

I am happy to say we have received a lot of positive fee back for this
performance! Our show in Chicago was very well received by the audience
of 1200! We only have 2 more performances this coming weekend: Friday and
Sunday at 8 PM at Darvag Theater.
