Dance?!
by Bezane Mahal (not verified) on Thu Apr 30, 2009 12:05 PM PDTThe producers and dancers in this clip, they should get some kind of credit for their efforts at least! However, the style, expressions and movements of these dancers (specially Asghar Sybeel) and the dance itself are pretty feminine/ gay! :-)(figure of speech)
Note: No disrespect to any Azari people, feminists and gay people in any form or shape...
Thanks for the laugh................. :-)
PS. I agree with all 3 first comments here. (Proper organized dance is beautiful to do and watch.......)
This music somehow doesn't match the dance!
by farrad02 on Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:06 AM PDTThe music is too clean and digital may be. Or may be it's not exactly synched with the movements. But it doesn't go together!
Dance will save the world.
by Terpsichorean (not verified) on Thu Apr 30, 2009 09:03 AM PDTI am absolutely not kidding. If only people danced more... I think nothing brings out joy and honesty in people like dance. The dancing body does not lie. It tells lots of stories and it is particularly suited to express joy.
As far as I'm concerned, the greatest achievement of the Soviet Union was its support of dance: ballet, folk, you name it. It even exported dance. We benefited a little from it even in Iran. But look at Cuba: The Soviet Union exported teachers to them and now so many of the stars of the ballet world are coming out of Cuba.
And it is high time to look at those Russian powerhouse ballet dancers and those exuberant and passionate Azaris and stop thinking of dance as feminine. You can also look at Africa and Latin America and come to the same conclusion, but alas... still everyone things dancing is girlie.
I can go on and on but I'll spare you....! Just get up and dance. Be brave and take some lessons. Be humble, be passionate, be joyful. Az ma goftan...
Nice Dance!
by choghok on Thu Apr 30, 2009 06:18 AM PDTI like the Lezgi dance.
This music could be much better though. There are much nicer Azari folkmusic than this crap. This music suited Iranian parties 20 years ago.
In the west they think of this dance as a Russian dance or Cosack dance, but that is because of their ignorance I believe.
