Goal.com: Esteghlal of Tehran took the Iranian title of the last day of the season, though the Blues owe a big debt to Foolad. Going in to the last game of the season, the Tehran giants were three points behind leaders Zob Ahan. In a shocking turnaround in the western province of Khuzestan, the leaders were thrashed 4-1 by Foolad, thus allowing Esteghlal, who defeated Payam 1-0, to take their sixth league title on goal difference:

It is not good to have another team (foolad) to win the championship for you. That being said, I am so happy for all Esteghlal fans. I am one of them too. Go TAAJ.
