First nuclear fuel plant

Iran announces two new types of centrifuges and a nuclear fuel production plant

Los Angeles Times: Iran announced fresh advances Thursday in its steady drive to master nuclear technology, trumpeting two new devices to enrich uranium and inaugurating a plant to produce fuel pellets for a heavy-water reactor. State television broadcast a patriotic three-minute music video called "Fruits of Science" heralding technological achievements during the annual National Day of Nuclear Technology celebrations marking the date in 2006 when Iran produced its first batch of enriched uranium. Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said the country now has "around 7,000" centrifuges installed at its Natanz facility, a significant jump from the 5,600 the International Atomic Energy Agency cited in a February report. Iranian officials also announced the introduction of two new types of centrifuges that enrich uranium faster than the current models>>>

Armageddon! Fred, based on

by Joe (not verified) on

Armageddon!

Fred, based on the book of revelations the last chapter of the bible (that was more likely written by jews), Jesus will return to earth and will become king of Israel and all infidels will be destroyed by God.
So why worry?
In fact the Israelies and neocon christian fanatics should be happy that they have found a bad counry that may lead them to Jesus.
I think it is hypocricy to worry about armageddon on one hand and then on the other hand believe it will happen and will be good for Israel.

We are not naive (to Caps Lock guy)

by Anonym7 (not verified) on

Many of us Iranians have no illusions about extremists in IRI. We also don't have any illusions about extremist fascist elements in Israel, we have no illusions that AIPAC and other war criminals who started the ongoing Iraq war are not OUT of the scene.
Many of us have no love for those who run IRI but we are proud that they haven't so far allowed Israel/U.S turn Iran into another Iraq.

Naive

by 1 Hamvatan (not verified) on

I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED , WHY ARE WE SO NAIVE AND WE SAY AND DO THINGS LATER WE REGRET? SUCH AS HAVING REVOLUTIONS AND WAR WITH IRAQ AND MANY MORE , ALL UNNECESSARY EVENTS.

WHY WOULD ANYONE BELIEVE THAT THIS ISLAMIC REPUBLIC, WHO ALWAYS SUPPORTED TERRORIST GROUPS, WILL EVER HAVE PEACEFUL INTENTIONS?

ASK YOURSELF, ARE THE PEOPLE OF IRAN ARE ENJOYING A PROSPEROUS TIMES? I THINK NOT. DO YOU EVEN REALIZE WHAT RAMIFICATION WILL HOLD FOR IRAN HAVING NUCLEAR BOMBS? YOU MAY SAY, THEY ARE BUILDING FOR ENERGY. I SAY TO YOU. PLEASE THINK AGAIN AND REAL HARD. THEY ARE TERRORISTS- THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF DOING ANYTHING GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY. NEVER DID AND NEVER WILL.

"Peacefull purposes?"

by FD (not verified) on

When you have a government that is full of prejudice, political and religious oppression, just to name a few "peaceful purposes" do not make much sense. Peacefull for whom? For a government that wants ot exapand its outdated and dangerous fundamentalism?

The final sprint to inanity, courtesy of Fred

by AnonymousAnonymous (not verified) on

The function of U.S./Israeli government apologists and propagandists, such as Fred, is to obscure some very basic facts:

1) Iran does not have nuclear weapons, and the IAEA has not found any evidence of weaponization.

2) Iran's current nuclear program is a continuation of the Shah's nuclear program.

3) Only one state in the Mideast has nuclear weapons: Israel. Israel currently occupies land belonging to the Palestinians (West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem); Syria (Golan Heights); and Lebanon (Sheba Farms). Iran does not occupy a single inch of another nation's land.

4) Only one state in history has used nuclear weapons...twice: the U.S.

Don't let Fred's inept attempts at pseudo-"eloquence" (which are nothing more than a string of ungrammatical run-on sentences) obscure these basic facts.

oh armageddon, oh the end is near, oh Iran has nukes.

i am terrified, just what will we do with Iranian nukes?

same old nonsense. get a life idiots. they not only know how to produce fuel now, they will eventually have the bomb too. there is not a thing you can do about it. the slave is slowly (but surely) rising to tell the master "go f?*k yourself".

with all due respect, that is :-)

Don't worry fred!

by Anonym7 (not verified) on

Those who run Iran are definitely not any less corrupt than your AIPAC leaders, but they are more pragmatic.
Those running IRI have no reason for early departure to heaven or hell, they are enjoying the earthly things ... if you and your Israeli extremist friends and supporters don't stir things up, there won't be any conflict let alone "Armageddon" or war.

With the Iranian nation as its sacrificial lamb, the messianic Islamist Republic is spinning fast toward Armageddon.
