My Sixteenth Summer

“One summer can change everything... and nothing at all.”

"My Sixteenth Summer" was shot in and around Atlanta over the course of 21 days. The three-person crew included Savvy Lorestani (Writer/ Director/ Producer/ Casting/ Cook/ Gaffer and PA), Brandon Thompson (DP/Camera Operator/ Audio Person/ Gaffer) and Erika Eades (Assistant Director/ Production Manager/ Wardrobe/ Make-up). The film was shot on a DVX 100 with a 35 MM Adapter on a budget of approximately $1,000 (the cost of food). Synopsis: Samir’s summer is looking pretty bleak. His spoiled sister is back from med school, his fresh-off-the-boat Iranian parents get more foreign every day and it looks like he’s about to lose the girl of his dreams…to his best friend. In response, Samir ditches his high school friends and starts hanging out with a couple of twenty-somethings. But as Samir exchanges his adolescent woes for a look at the quarter-life, he starts to see that the other side of twenty isn’t all its cracked up to be... And that maybe being sixteen isn’t so bad. www.mysixteenthsummer.com

Very well composed trailer for a low-budget film... From what I saw in the trailer, well shot, well acted, well edited, well 'sounded'? lol

And it's great to see another Iranian/American film out there.

Good on you guys...keep makin' 'em movies and hopefully we'll work with eachother in the near future :) (I'm a film student in New Zealand) (Lord Of The Rings) hahahaha sorry had to put that in there for clarifications.
