June 15, 1960: Looking around the city of buildings and people Brinton travels north towards the Caspian Sea through the Karaj Valley and towards the Alborz Mountains. Brinton meets some nomads and shares some of their unleavened bread. Travelling onwards, past the construction of the Karaj Dam and visits locals in the village due to be swamped by the dam. There are many small farms on the plains towards the Caspian Sea and new motels are springing up around the Caspian. The Pahlevi Dynasty built hotels for royal guests, that are now available for paying guests and Brinton interviews one of the hotel managers.

And in anycase Your the One who Boasts to be a Democrat Not me ... LOL
I also suggest you to Think before Talking Crap about an Era you hardly knew or understand :
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Mt8bWn-UlA
Besides If you are such a Smart Ass Yourself why don't you go to your beloved Iran and Run for President ?
Maybe with your Amir Kabir ( Or Should I say Moussavi Like Ambitions ? ) like Ambitions you may even come up with some solutions to the current Crisis other than creating a new Party in a vain attempt to reform this Corrupt and UN IRANIAN Regime with an ARAB Word "ALLAH" as our National Symbol that looks like the Devils own Sickel!
Good Luck !
Oh and when you go back to Iran just Be Careful Not to Trip when You come out of the the Bath Tub in that Hotel in Lalezar ... The Sewage system apparently doesn't work anymore like everything else since the Mullah's are administrating things ...
Also Careful with the Lazor Blade, apparently the mullah's hands shake just like those of their Qajar Masters a century ago when they shave their clients.

by amirkabear4u on Tue Sep 01, 2009 07:24 AM PDTThank you for this.
Everyone is ranting about how free it was BUT really things have not changed that much;
"The fishing right belonged to the government, so the villagers had to live on land."
"Pahlavis build hotels", what a confused royal family not surprising they were kicked out by the mullahs! haha
"the villagers were eating bread", for god sake their food was bread, what happened to all that freedom and wealth then? Not mentioning the population was far less than it is today. What on earth does the RP want to do, build us Easy Hotels? haha
Then in the second video I wonder why visiting a fish factory in a village environment, by reporters, needs permission from 3 ministeries and the shah. Feels like a dictator state. So please some one explain where is the democracy and freedom in this. Have things really changed????????
Let them have caviar!
