Ali jaan I'm talking
by Anonymouse on Wed Aug 12, 2009 07:25 AM PDTAli jaan I'm talking about the time when "Khomeini's men" were drafting the constitution. Khomeini's men being Bani-Sadr, Bazargan and Ghotbzadeh mostly.
The first draft of constitution did not have velayat faghih in it even though that was Khomeini's pet project. To everyone's surprise Khomeini approved the draft. Then Bani-Sadr wanted to tweak it a little and they took it back to Khomeini for approval and on 2nd thought Khomeini made the changes as I said below.
So yes all those men in the end (Bani Sadr included) voted for velayat faghigh, even though they didn't like it, but it was Khomeini and they couldn't go against him. Towards the end of his life some tried to ask him to change it because well he was the Imam and others couldn't be.
Everything is sacred.
Don't be taken in by Charlatans
by fozolie on Wed Aug 12, 2009 02:50 AM PDTBy working with Akhoonds he is not only a traitor to Iran but a traitor to himself. You cannot serve two masters, full stop. And this the point which the mooooozlems amongst you don't seem to get.
Mr. Fozolie
He was very fun when I was in France!
by Azarin Sadegh on Wed Aug 12, 2009 02:06 AM PDTHis famouse quote on French TV (i think he was on a stationary bike during the interview):
"J'ai dit a Emam, fait pas ca, fait pas ca! Maintenant que t'as fait ca, alors tu manges!!:-)
Translation in English: I said to Emam, don't do it, don't do it! But now that you did it, then you "eat"! (haalaa bokhor!)
I hope that by now, he has at least improved his French and has finished his PHD in economy!
Bani Sadr reminds me of another famous Iranian
by American Dream on Tue Aug 11, 2009 07:38 PM PDTBani Sadr reminds me of another famous Iranian who was not in tune with reality. Check out the following clip:

He is a big looooser
by Artificial Intelligence on Tue Aug 11, 2009 07:21 PM PDTDo noy like him. Never did.
To: Anonymouse jaan
by Ali P. on Tue Aug 11, 2009 06:54 PM PDTBanisadr was part of the Majlis that approved the Islamic Republic Constitution. Article 110, "Velayateh Fagheeh", passed pretty smoothly with not much fuss, from what I remember. If he was against it, he sure did't let anyone kow.
When Banisadr ran for President, I remember on his campaign poster, someone else was quoted as " Mr Banisadr voted for Velayateh Fagheeh", as a way of bolstering his credibility.
Again, I never heard him deny it.
He was elected/selected President, and was inaugurated by the Valee Fagheeh, Ayatollah Khomeini.
Now if all along, he was secretly against the whole thesis, he did a pretty damn good job hiding it!
Yours,
Ali P.
Ali you are wrong.
by Anonymouse on Tue Aug 11, 2009 04:47 PM PDTAli you are wrong. None of "Khomeini's men" were for Velyat Faghih. Khomeini just shoved it down everyone's throat.
Bani Sadr however was responsible for trying to "tweak" the draft constitution after Khomeini had approved it. When the draft constitution was taken to Khomeini for his approval again he added 2 clauses, Velayat Faghih and women can't be president, which everyone protested but Khomeini told everyone to "find a way". So they came up with the "rejal" word for those eligible to become president.
Everything is sacred.
What Can you expect!
by darius on Tue Aug 11, 2009 03:55 PM PDTIs he not the son of so called Ayatoallah Bani Sadr of Hamadan and his aunt was married to General Zahedi ? Is he not the Ardeshir Zahedi Cousin?
Well, I guess that doesn't matter because he fought against Shah then he is automatically considered a patriot and an intellect.
As far as I am concerend He and his kind must be real bold (Por roo) to preach us about freedom and the nature of a regime that he helped to establish.
I guess they still consider us fools otherwise, he wouldn't be out
there try to tell how independent and patriotic he is.
The definition of a parasite!
by Kaveh Nouraee on Tue Aug 11, 2009 02:32 PM PDTFirst, he was riding on the Indian's coattails, and kissing his ass, until he ran off with his tail between his legs. Now he wants to do it again.
An opportunistic parasite to the bone.
he is another shame in our history
by jimzbund on Tue Aug 11, 2009 02:17 PM PDTseen his televised debate about how women's hair have radiation that arouses men's sexual ineterest. Akhunds knew him well !
Bund, Jimz Bund
never liked the guy never will!
by IRANdokht on Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:56 PM PDTHe's more dangerous than mullahs. He has betrayed the Iranian people, lied shamelessly and finally when he was caught stealing, he left the country and bought sourakh moush!
Now that there is a movement in Iran, he wants to come back and take a free ride on the blood of the innocent people. This opportunist is hoping that people would fall for his endless monologues again...
Sorry dude!
IRANdokht
Ali, yes...
by Ostaad on Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:53 PM PDTif you appoint yourself the "leader", and the constitution is dictated by you and "approved" by your cronies, and the Majles is stacked up with your hand-picked yes men and women, then yes according to any article the "leader" picks ANYTHING can be done.
Regarding whether Banisadr was against the Velayat, I'm sure he was not against it, but whether he was a "believer" I'm not sure.
Saddam has all the "legal powers" for doing what he was doing too.
BTW, I like the nickname he was given in Iran, Bani Harf.
Funny how things turn out
by MRX1 on Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:41 PM PDTOnce this jack ass was flying high......
I never forget how much pride and how much credit he wanted to take for supposedly discovering Ghiam 18tir (Falsley known as Nojeh uprising). A brilliant attempt that ended in blood bath for hundreds of our bravest people in Iran.
Let's not forget that he was the one that said in a televised interview that the "reason women need to wear veil (hejab) is because women's hair produces an invisible ray (much like X-ray) that makes men attracted to them!"
So there it is a bonified ertejaee, backward, islamo facist with out turban. May he rot in France or where ever the hell he resides.
Bani Sadr
by Maryam Hojjat on Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:35 PM PDTis the same person who made a stupid & famous comment about women who must cover their hair. He has the same backward mentality as Mollahs otherwise he would not work with them. Then after he was deposed from his job and run away to Mojahedin. His daughter married Masood Rajavi. Then he left Mojahedin. Now, you judge youself about this intellecual from Sorbon. Down with IRI & his supporters Payandeh IRAN & Iranians
mahmoudg, are you opposed to the Iranian Revolution
by American Dream on Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:35 PM PDTmahmoudg, the Iranian Revolution occured over 30 years ago. No one sided with Bakhtiar. As a matter of fact, a lot of Iranian historians write that Bakhtiar was an opium addict. How can you support an opium addict?
dont be fooled by him either
by mahmoudg on Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:27 PM PDTNever, never again. He is the one who brought "ditatoreeyeh Naaleyn" to Iran. Don't be fooled by his white hair now. Had he sided with Bakhtiar and saved the "tamamiyateh Arzeeyeh Iran", then he would be a candidate not to be put on trial. But the likes of him, Ebrahim Yazdi, and all the goons of the revolution and its aftermath are reponsible and must be brought to justice.
President Banisadr
by Ali P. on Tue Aug 11, 2009 11:58 AM PDTBy Articles 108 to 112 of the Islamic Republic Constitution, the Supreme Leader is empowered to dismiss a President who has been impeached by the Majlis.
Khomeini invoked his legal powers to dismiss Banisadr.
From what I know, Banisadr was never against "Velayateh Fagheeh", until he lost his position .
Am I wrong?
Bani Sadr fought agianst the Shah
by American Dream on Tue Aug 11, 2009 11:54 AM PDTBanisadr had participated in the anti-Shah student movement during the early 1960s, was imprisoned twice, and was wounded during an uprising in 1963. He then fled to France and joined the Iranian resistance group led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Banisadr returned to Iran together with Khomeini as the revolution was beginning in February 1979. He was the deputy economy and finance minister and acting foreign minister briefly during 1979, and the finance minister from 1979 to 1980. He studied Finance and Economics at Sorbonne.
Bani Sadr once said that the monarchy shall never return to Iran.
He was the only post-revolution elected president of Iran who...
by Ostaad on Tue Aug 11, 2009 11:21 AM PDTwas illegally deposed by the current coup leaders.
