Mullahs' place is in the Mosque, can they just stay there?
by peace45 on Fri Aug 14, 2009 11:58 PM PDTWe dont see Buddahist monks running for political party or a Christian priest running for an office ....so can these Mullahs just stay in their own "spiritual" world?
I am so done with any Mullah, i dont care what he says or what they do, I want them out of our lives in Iran ( and out of sight).
Mr. Capitan,
by Reza-Rio de Janeiro on Tue Aug 11, 2009 06:10 PM PDTThanks for the Bush joke... :-) It was suppose to mean exactly that...
On a serious note, All I was saying is that Iranians should vote and be questioned whether they FIRST FEEL AN IRANIAN before any other religion and Idealogies or the other way around!!!
Because if Iranians don't think, speak and act as an Iranian and to the best interest of IRAN and Iranians, we as a whole nation are screwed once again and perhaps for the rest of our lives. If Iranians decide to put their religion (95% Islam) or any other religion and/or fanatic ideologies ahead of Iran and Iranians we better change the whole country's and nation's name to something else (such as Islamic Republic as we have so far...)
Capitan, apparently you claim you are a professor in some university and if so, respect...
But it doesn't take someone of your educational background to know that Persian philosophy, culture, language, expressions, feelings and traditions are in very opposite direction of what even a true Islam stands for... Let's be honest, I was born a muslim (not by choice but by force if you will...)
So many things I have understood from Islam in my capacity (including reading the English Translation of Qoran) contradicts what I feel as and Iranian/Persian/human Being. Again, that is only for me...
For inspiration and enlightment, I prefer Persian Philosophy and Literature any day over anything Islamic or in any other of those so called holy religions...( again that's me).
That being said, I realize very well that I am neither in a position, nor would I want to or can force anyone to think and feel my way... I can still understand and respect if anyone with stong religious beliefs wants to practice his/her religion in their own private and most definitely away from government and society.
These past dark 30 years of Iranian history in which our so called intellectualls followed a Psyco-path named Khomeini in the name of Islam, is the biggest proof of what I have tried to convey here...
How terrible is the life of all Iranians after 30 years of Islam practiced by Islamic republic upon them and how did they get there had it not been due to backward, twisted and deadly view sand mentality of people following the leaders and practicing of such religion?
Iranians need to wake up and realize once and for all, Religion is not the salvation but rather it is Consciousness dear professor!!!
And guess what? Ancient Persian in terms of CONSCIOUSNESS is far superior to Islam or any other twisted religion that was designed by a greedy, blood thirsty, narcissistic man to have the ultimate power , control and dictate masses....
Dear Captain
by darius on Tue Aug 11, 2009 04:20 PM PDTYou know what the "Noon ro be nerkhe rooz khordan" means?
All of sudden after what people did , we see all kind of opportunist trying to take advantage of the situation .
Sure forcing people to leave Islam forcefully is wrong , I think except few who converted to Islam willfully 1300 yrs ago, the rest were forced to become muslim and even forced to adopt the alphabet.
I do not personally beleive he is helping the movement nor he is with the movement .Time will prove everything, I hope he is not in the next flight going back to Iran
and be part of the movement leadership. If that happens I will be questioning the integrity of the movement.
yes, I agree
by che khabar e on Tue Aug 11, 2009 02:05 PM PDTCaptain is absolutely right on this and says it well. We can ALL understand the hatred for the IRI. But to carry it further to hatred of Islam is just not the answer. I'm not muslim and I don't care for it personally but it's enough that there should be a secular Iran. So why can't he (kadivar) be both... intellect AND mullah?

by capt_ayhab on Tue Aug 11, 2009 09:24 AM PDTFirst you say[YOU FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU, YOU FOOL ME 31 F$%KING YEARS, SHAME ON YOU]
You are getting worse than Bush dude, it should say fool me once shame on ME,,,,,, [WINK - jk]
On a serious note, you stated [By now, If any Iranian supports or even sympathizes with any akhoond, Islamic or any other religious and fanatic entities, he or she is NOT
IRANIAN.]
Are you not letting your hatred get under your skin? How and why are you striping millions of Iranians who are Muslim, but do not support IR from their Iranian identity? How do you KNOW 100% Iranians do not want to be Muslim? How do you know that every Muslim in Iran [95% of population] is supporter of this regime?
No doubt that they, as you and I , do not want any more of IR, but religion in Iran as in any other country is part of fabric of the society. It is part of their identity, How can you, with one stroke of your pen[in this keyboard] take it all away and call every Muslim Iranian a non-Iranian? Surely you are not proposing a forced change of religion in Iran! or Do you?
Lets be realistic.

I wouldn't trust this guy
by American Dream on Mon Aug 10, 2009 08:56 PM PDTI wouldn't trust this guy.
He is probably fundraising in order to open another Shia Muslim Seminary where people can become priests.
And what type of student go to these religious schools?
Students who believe in the theory of a spiritual leader.

by TheMrs on Mon Aug 10, 2009 08:11 PM PDTCan any of the good people who go to see this guy's speeches ask him what his views are on Sharia law? If he is a mullah, he should be supporting it. It's his religious duty. Right?
I haven't seen everything this guy has on the net but harfeh hesabesh chieh? Does he want a secular system?
He is charismatic, educated and can even make sense here and there. But he is a mullah! WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND DON"T WANT ANY MORE MULLAHS.

I hope it helps.

For 30 years atrocities were committed and none of these towel-head chumps (except Montazeri) ever complained, now that their days are numbered jumping on the reformist bandwagon is the latest trend.
He is yet another akhond
by mahmoudg on Mon Aug 10, 2009 02:20 PM PDTWe will not be fooled by his neatly trimmed beard. 1400 years of this farce we call Islam is enough. Next time Akhond and Islam will have no place nor any say in how democracy will prevail in Iran. I will take a full fledged combination of US/Israel occupation (which will never happen) to another day of listening to their kind of backward crap.
Sage' Zard Baradare Shoghale'....
by Reza-Rio de Janeiro on Mon Aug 10, 2009 01:56 PM PDTYOU FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU, YOU FOOL ME 31 F$%KING YEARS, SHAME ON... ALL YOU WHO CALL YOURSELVES IRANIANS....
I don't care if this guy was sent down by GOD him/her/itself, at the end of the day he is another bastard akhoond like his brother and bosses Khomeini, Khamenei, Ahmadinejad, Khatami, Mousavi, Rafsanjani and Co......
All hese filthy people and their bastard followers have always put their religion and idealogy FIRST and before Iran and Iranians AND LATER collaborated with an EVIL who INSULTED,HUMILATED,IMPRISONED,TORTURED,RAPED AND KILLED DEFENSELESS IRANIANS!!!
The proof is as bright as the day light!!!! ARE YOU BLIND???How many more years we want to be the nice guys??? and at what more costs and damages to our own lives and identity????
By now, If any Iranian supports or even sympathizes with any akhoond, Islamic or any other religious and fanatic entities, he or she is NOT IRANIAN. Simple as that... Hate me, insult me and kill me if you want. But that is what any TRUE IRANIAN feels and believes 100% inside ...
If you don't want to be an Iranian, fine! Nobody forced you...
But please spare THE REAL IRANIANS and don't try to justify or defend any of these IRAN and Iranian haters!
Iran and Iranians will be FREE from EVIL.
my 2 riali
by capt_ayhab on Mon Aug 10, 2009 01:29 PM PDTI have listened[watched] many of his lectures. I have to admit that he strikes me as an educated and a progressive person. However my only reservation about this gentleman is that he is a cleric. So as long as he does have any hidden agenda of keeping religion mixed with politics.

by Kaveh V on Mon Aug 10, 2009 12:53 PM PDTAt first, I was a little impressed that a mullah can speak so openly in the Islamic Republic about their barbaric governing system.
Now I see that he gave these talks in LA and Houston !!??
Why would anyone want to hear a mullah in these cities, have'nt you had enugh of them ? Weren't they the ones who made you come to the US ?
He is just trying to save his Islam and will say anything that sounds progressive so he can buy some "dignity" and "respect" for his barbaric Islam.
Even though I was never fooled by these creatures the first time, it is worth mentioning:
Fool me once, shame on you, ...fool me twice shame on me!
Or, as the great GWB would say:
.....fool me twice....and you can't fool me again!
I agree.. Go Ahmadinejad..

What sort of a Muslim is this beast?
100% agree Darius!
by Jaleho on Mon Aug 10, 2009 09:01 AM PDTIf there is ONE MAIN POINT in the recent events in Iran is the reflection of this fact:
"Time for Akhoonds like Karroubi, Khatami, Khamenei, Hashemi or this ASS is over!"
All these people who are trying to ride on the back of Iranian youth's frustration can not see that the next evolutionary stage of the Iranian revolution is the fading of "Islamic" out of the "Republic!"
Iranians have become allergic to 'aba va ammameh," as useful as they might have been 30 years ago! Go Ahmadinejad :-)
Wrong person to preach public
by darius on Mon Aug 10, 2009 08:23 AM PDTWe no longer need people in robe to preach us and lead us for anything. The first thing he needs to do is to disrobe, then he needs to disassociate himself with all those Islamic hadith and ravayat.
He should say loud and clear that he and others like him must disrobe and stop looking for hand out.
The other thing is you can't trust everyone just because they say something against the ruling mullah. He could have made this
public appearance and these clips long time ago.
Wisen up a little bit, stop being emotional and think first before you
start making idols and leaders.Let them prove they deserve your trust.
