Proud to be anonymous!!!
by Fouzul Bashi on Fri Dec 04, 2009 12:12 PM PSTYou say as a result of Dr Holakouee's radio shows "I feel I am a better person"! Judging by your profound arrogance, loutishness and ignorance, I firstly wonder what wretched state you were before becoming "better", and secondly how worried poor Dr Holkouee would be with you as his publicist!! I totally agree with the comments here, foul-mouthed female-bashing fanatics come in all costumes and masks and from anywhere.
On the point of Dr Holakouee's expertise, neither his Master in Economics and PhD in Sociology, nor his Master in Psychology in fact, make him either a clinical psychologist or a psychotherapist!! His doctorate relates to his PhD in sociology. Although his Marriage, Child and Family Counseling Master could make a Counselor.
Now behave.

by Kareem on Thu Dec 03, 2009 07:46 PM PSTPoint well taken.
The music plays by default for those who have too much gher in their waists. There is a 'stop music' botton on top that you can press and all music stops.
Stop by any time. We'll find you a good, faithful, generous, funny, handsome Iranian man, while supplies last!
hi ID! good to see ya too
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Thu Dec 03, 2009 07:39 PM PSThonestly that comment shocked me. is this person a female? are you anonymous proud?? if so, how sad. it's something i haven't seen on this site in a while. i'm ashamed when people dis IRI then use lines right out of their "On dealing with women" books.

by HollyUSA on Thu Dec 03, 2009 07:16 PM PSTApparently you don't listen to him enough. I guarantee you that if you were to tell him that you suggested a woman whom you have never met and know next to nothing about, dislikes him because he doesn't advocate sleeping around he'd rip you a nice new one before you could say OUCH.
Thanks Marge! and welcome back
by IRANdokht on Thu Dec 03, 2009 07:03 PM PSTI saw that comment just now, apparently being a fan of Dr Holakooee gives people the license to be judgmental, arrogant, rude and self-righteous. Fanatics come in all shapes and forms. They can listen to self-improvement radio talk all they want, what's the use when it goes in one ear and comes out the other!
It's awesome to have you back :o)

PS: Kareem thanks for the joke!
of course you're proud to be anonymous!
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Thu Dec 03, 2009 05:49 PM PSTyou make cheap shots at females you disagree with by stating BS like "he doesn't advocate slutting it up, so you don't like him." You're so old school. congrats. we're definitely putting our best foot forward, in terms of classy debate that doesn't demonstrate typical Iranian stereotyping and bashing of women based on sex. Careful ID, you're dealing with fanatics! just because they aren't islamic doesn't mean they aren't cut throat.
i heart holakouee
by mitra25 on Thu Dec 03, 2009 04:04 PM PSTI've learned a lot from Holakouee's shows and CDs. I think he's doing Iranians a great service. He also has such a soothing voice and is such a cute man. i love him.
By the way, Kareem, no offense but your website is one of the ugliest websites I've seen. So ugly that I couldn't stay on it for more than 10 seconds (I'm a web designer so maybe my tolerance for bad design is lower than others).

by Proud_To_Be_Anonymous on Thu Dec 03, 2009 03:58 PM PSTI don't know what your definition of a psychologist is, but he has Master Degrees in Economics, Psychology, and Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling and a Ph.D. in Sociology. He has been a college professor and has done tons of hours of counseling and has had his radio and TV shows for years. If that doesn't make him a psychologist, what does? Dr. Phil could not carry his coat if he wanted to. So, what is it that makes you unkind to him? Is it because he does not advocate sleeping around?

by IRANdokht on Thu Dec 03, 2009 02:35 PM PSTit sounds like you've got a good one in mind already: begoo ta yadet narafteh :o)
btw I liked your website, cheerful (like your picture and your comments), informative, inclusive and sweet too. You should add a home button to get you back from each click (I didn't see one and had to use <back>) I also wish it didn't have the music playing right off the bat. Most people browse from work dear ;-)
I am no fan of Mr Holakooee. He might be a great man, but I don't think he's a psychologist. I guess he's our pershiyan Dr Phil!
hala joketo begoo lotfan

Green Movement and Holakouee's influence
by Sheila K on Thu Dec 03, 2009 10:36 AM PSTThis may sound far-fetched to some, but I really believe that Dr. Holakouee has had a big impact in Iranian people's mindset since his shows were aired on Internet. Holakouee is very popular in Iran among young and old. I have heard of callers from very remote areas in Iran where access to his shows were unimaginable.
He was NOT the cause of the Green Movement, but he sure has had hidden influence within our minds. For many of us he's unlocked a key to broaden our prespective toward our religious and cultural nonsesne.
He's a great analyst who brings sense and logic to a harsh and violent minded society. A culture where reasoning has no place, but anger, fear and intimidation are common tools of trade.
It may be best to face our inner-demons before changing a government.
Treasure
by Proud_To_Be_Anonymous on Thu Dec 03, 2009 10:14 AM PSTI literally worship this man. He is one of our national treasures. I have been listening to his daily 2-hour radio show on KIRN 670 AM here in LA on and off (mostly on) for the past 10 years and I have to confess that I feel I am a better person as a result. He is an economist and a sociologist. He picked this profession after he came to US about 30 years ago and he is great at it. He introduced psychology and psychotherapy to the Iranian community and people don't look at going to psychologist or psychiatrist as taboo anymore. He has helped a lot of people who call his radio show for advice. One time he mentioned that over 10,000 people had called his show and talked to him on the air.
After the rigged election in Iran, people would call to get a sense of what was going on and his analysis of the situation was awsome having a sociology background. By the way, he had predicted the 1979 revolution 3 years before it happened, when he was a professor at Tehran University. The previous regime instead of listening to him, banned his book.
He is truly a sea of knowledge. He is a servant to his community.
